A ceremony for the sixth edition of the China Talents Trophy Awards was held in Guangzhou on September 18 at Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich Hotel.
China Talents Trophy Awards is a competition dedicated to Chinese students enrolled in Sino-French majors. The aim of the competition is to make younger generations aware of tomorrow's challenges. Another objective is to evaluate the business, technical and linguistic skills of the best students on actual topics, and to reward the most innovative and talented of them. The competition also highlights and encourages Sino-French connections and supports linkages between the business world and the education community.
The event was organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCI France Chine), in partnership with the French Embassy in China, Valeo, ESSEC Business School and Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).
Siv Leng Chhuor, consul general of France in Guangzhou, delivered a welcome speech at the awards ceremony. After the ceremony, a Welcome Back Annual Cocktail gathered more than 150 people, including contest winners, and the official partners and decision-makers of French and Chinese member companies of the French Chamber of Commerce.
The topic of this year's event was, "Car sharing, an opportunity or a threat to the auto industry?" After fierce competition, the award winners are as follows:
1st prize:Yang Jiawei from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (广东外语外贸大学，杨家玮)
2nd prize:Han Jiankun from Hohai University (河海大学，韩建坤)
3rd prize:Huang Jingyang from China Foreign Affairs University (外交学院，黄菁旸)
